Somebody recently quipped that the tenacious pro bono constructive criticisms of the current regime by the organized opposition in Imo State is a by-product of envy and jealousy against the invisible achievements of Senator Hope Uzodimma.
Incidentally, that assertion was too hasty and pedantic because of the lexicographical decoding of the terms “envy and jealousy”.
It’s always easy for a person on a wrong path and mission to regard as “envy and jealousy” efforts to call him to order and set him to the right path and mission.
But who envies failure? Who nurses jealousy over shameful non-performance? Just as many misinterpret sympathy for popularity, many also misconstrue sincere counsel as envy and jealousy. It’s really unfortunate.
Whatever the sycophants in the current wobbling and fumbling Uzodimma regime may say or do, the organized opposition in Imo State won’t relent in rendering them due pro bono constructive criticisms. It’s part of the multiple course menu of government and governance.
Sycophancy and fallacy share semantic relationship. When a sycophant goes about his songs of praise and worship, he deploys fallacies like: “Onwa has done in one year what all other Imo governors could do since 1976”!
It’s such fallacies by hungry sycophants that has been fuelling the failure of Uzodimma and Imo State. A good leader doesn’t take sycophants seriously. He may tolerate them, though, to sustain the structure and system, and also to be massaging his ego with comedy of dishonest words.
A good leader listens to good constructive criticisms. It’s interesting to hear that Uzodimma with his room and parlour, kitchen and toilet cabinet take time to listen to our constructive criticisms and put excerpts from them to work.
That’s a big shame of a big blow upon all of them hypocritical sycophants that attack the organized opposition in Imo State for rendering pro bono constructive criticisms of Uzodimma. For, behold, what they overtly attack ferociously, their Masters covertly embrace coquettishly!
Sycophants and sycophancy have peculiar diction and terminologies. For example: “Am impressed”! “He has done very well”! “He has done better than all previous governors put together”!
Yet, look around for what a person said he was impressed with, and you see nothing or something less than nothing.
As for the comparison of incomparables, that’s a hallmark nature and style of chronic, incurable, irredeemable sycophants.
Terrorists attacked Imo State most daringly, and next morning supposedly educated Imo indigenes wake up to argue that Uzodimma has done more than other governors put together, and that APC has done more than all other political parties in Nigeria since independence. That’s fallacy and sycophancy par excellence.
Within Owerri Municipal Council, around Owerri North and Owerri West, with aspects of Mbaitoli LGAs, many Uzodimma sycophants, because of very bad roads, find it extremely difficult to navigate their motor vehicular movements from and to their residents, offices and runs.
That’s the story in urban Imo, which is just less than 10% of Imo geographic. It can be imagined then, what the situation is like in rural Imo, which is over 90% of Imo geographic.
But instead of the recalcitrant sycophants to keep fallacies aside and speak truth to power, the garb themselves with flowing gowns of fallacies, telling Uzodimma imbecilic lies that he obviously loves to hear.
Instead of helping Uzodimma with sincere counsel and guiding him with constructive criticisms as the organized opposition in Imo State do, the political jobbers, that are steadily angling for stomach infrastructure, still shamelessly raise their croaky voices to adumbrate cracked songs of praise and worship for Uzodimma.
The sycophants in Imo State forget that it’s a grave disservice to absolutely and utterly eulogize a leader in an executive capacity. Such excessive commending and applauding swell the heads of many a Chief Executive like bread thrown into water.
We’re strongly convinced that it’s the force of sycophantic fallacy by dishonest and insincere politicians and pokitricians that’s fuelling not only the failure of Uzodimma, but also the failure of Imo State.
However, thank God for His divine wisdom of creating intra and inter personal opposition. It’s incontrovertible that the constructive criticisms by the organized opposition in Imo State that have fuels the silver lining in the dark sky Uzodimma, wittingly and advertently spreads over Imo State.
To that extent, the organized opposition in Imo State has proved to be more useful to the clueless, inept and incompetent regime than the useless sycophantic fallacies by his hypnotized captives, loyalists and apologists that are living in his bondage of fraud and forgery.
For the sake of reminders, all the organized opposition in Imo State is saying is let Uzodimma sincerely pay salaries and pensions to Imo workers and pensioners.
Opposition is saying let Uzodimma sincerely fix Imo roads, with particular emphasis on rural roads, most of which have been eaten up by gully erosion, following lack of grading and maintenance.
The PDP RebuildImo administration of Governor Emeka Ihedioha, CON procured 27 heavy duty machinery in the first phase. They were procured to grade and maintain rural roads in the 27 LGAs.
It’s very saddening that after 16 months of failure in office, Uzodimma has not deemed it fit to deploy those heavy duty road construction machinery to serve the purpose for which they were procured.
Opposition has said that Uzodimma should revive primary healthcare centres across the State. Leaving citizens to rely on very expensive private hospitals and clinics for healthcare is one of Uzodimma’s anti-people policies.
Opposition has said and is still saying that Uzodimma should look into the abysmally low standard of education in the State. He should employ thousands of teachers for the education sector, both primary, secondary and tertiary.
The system where a school will have five teachers, including the head, is another anti-people policy of Uzodimma. Indeed, there’s a dire need for state of emergency to be declared in the education sector of Imo State.
In summary, Imo State under Uzodimma’s knees isn’t breathing freely. Yes, Imo people can’t breathe under Uzodimma’s watch.
According to our impeccable insider sources, Imo State treasury is being systematically and systemically looted vide various fraudulent guises. Our very reliable sources report that there’s an unprecedented high level of stealing of Imo money going on in the current regime.
Yet, some people in Imo State can still afford to tell themselves and Uzodimma lies that all is well. Such self-deceit and bad counsel is the instrumentality of the backwardness of Imo State.
The earlier truly concerned Imolites join the organized opposition in Imo to drum these truths into Uzodimma’s ears, the better.
Time is quintessential essence. Delay is dangerous. Let Ndimo make hay while the sun is still shining. Had I known is the lazy and lousy son of Mr. Late.
By God’s grace, Imo State must be rebuilt!!
