– APC has expressed displeasure over the activities of insurgents in Imo state

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that it will not fold its hands while insurgents try to turn Imo state into a killing field.
This position from the ruling party in reaction to the recent attacks on the state which climaxed to the razing of Governor Hope Uzodinma’s country residence in Omuma village.
In a tweet on Monday, April 26, John Akpanudoedehe, the national secretary of the caretaker/extraordinary convention planning, said the APC is still in amazement over the dangerous and gruesome development in the state.
Describing this as an attack on Nigeria’s democracy, the APC said:
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) has closely monitored dangerous developments in Imo State which culminated in Saturday’s brazen and gruesome attack on the residence of the State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma.
“The party and indeed our security services will definitely not watch helplessly as some persons and interests attempt to turn Imo State into a killing field. We call on the good people of Imo state to go about their legal activities without fear and resist these enemies of the state.”
However, Akpanudoedehe, on behalf of the party, sent a message of solidarity to the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) for its efforts to neutralise bandits in the southeast generally.
The party also sent its condolences to victims of the mindless terror unleashed on them by evil fellows.

Earlier, Nigerian youths had been warned not to waste their lives believing in the power of a herbalist.
The call was given by the APC. The party also warned the youths not to allow themselves to be used as tools in a war against any tribe or community in Nigeria.
