Former Secretary to the Imo State Government under the Senator Rochas Okorocha administration, and his in-law, Professor Anthony Gozie Anwukah, has been appointed the Chairman Governing Council, Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, Delta State.
The former Vice Chancellor Imo State University Owerri, was the immediate past Minister (State) for Education of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a position which is today occupied by another Imo politician, and bitter enemy of Senator Rochas Okorocha, Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba.
Anwukah’s son Uzoma, is married to Okorocha’s second daughter Uju. A US trained medical doctor, Uzoma Anwukah returned to Imo State during the second tenure of the Rochas Okorocha administration.
Uzoma Anwukah was also involved in Okorocha’s attempt, to break into the Royal Spring Palm Hotels, belonging to Okorocha’s wife, but sealed at the orders of Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Uzoma was allegedly shot at the leg during the clash between Okorocha’s supporters, and supporters of Senator Hope Uzodinma.
The incident would be the first time Okorocha would be arrested, since leaving office.
