UP AND COMING CHURCHES SHOULD DESIST FROM DISTORTING THE OWERRI CITY MASTER-PLAN
It is quite unequivocal that petty journalists have taken it upon themselves to negatively portray one of the most honourable professions in the world ‘journalism’ in bad light.
Madu-Asebo Chidobi, wouldn’t have written to counter the poorly scripted yet, incoherent fallacy fabricated by an unpopular journalist seeking for relevance, as it would only magnify his ignorance. However for public enlightenment, here are some of the things Imolites need to know about OCDA.

However, in order to apply, “human face”, the Authority could also play deaf, dumb and blind in certain areas that do not welcome visitors or deface the city. (DOESN’T CHANGE THE FACT THAT IT IS A TABOO AND CAN BE REMOVED EVEN WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE OWNERS).
There are no exemptions for the use of any of the aforementioned disfigurement elements, which means churches are included. The God we serve is the king of orderliness and has instructed His people to obey people in Authority because, All Powers Belong to God”.
Romans 13:1-2, ” 1. Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves”.
If the so called shanties that were destroyed were real churches, they, like every other rational Imolite, would have visited Owerri Capital Development Authority to inform the authority of their intent to erect a church.
It is a pitty that religion has out-wayed the true act of Christianity. When our people hear “church” unnecessary sentiments are been attracted, we make excuses for them even when they are totally wrong. Even Jesus Christ mercilessly whipped those doing businesses in the Temple. Temple worshipers do err. To work with the government is also a means of prayer.
Do you know that before any demolition is made, prior notices are being given to occupants of that area to remove their valuables on time? In the past, after such notices are given, the authority may or may not come for operation. “WELCOME TO THE IKPA ERA” where actions are matched with words.
Engr. Ikpamezie Innocent Ikechukwu is a shinning lamp on the hill. He is the cynosure of all eyes. The testimony of his kind heartedness has been stamped on the lips of everyone who have come in contact with him. Due to the love his friends and staff of OCDA have for him, he has been reckoned with the presence of ardent followers on duty and off duty.
Do you know that most of his friends abandon some of their duties and queue up in what I may call the ‘sensational convoy’ to accompany him for functions and inspections. Little wonder, people keep asking why he has such a long convoy. Staff of OCDA who are eager to be in his tutelage accompany him with the OCDA staff bus, and as such this only shows that Engr. Ikpamezie has a large heart to accommodate everyone.
Ikpa! as fondly called by his friends, is determined to reposition the already distorted Owerri Master-Plan. Such a cumbersome task, but, a little drop of water makes a mighty ocean.
To this effect all Imolites who are operating/ transacting in shanties, batchers, and containers are hereby asked to remove their properties around Owerri metropolis. Operation remove shanties in Owerri Metropolis has already commenced
Recall that on Monday the 28th day of June, operation remove shanties struck the Naze/Poly Nekede Roundabout. Other roundabouts, streets and flyovers will follow thus, in no distant time.
