THE BIRTH OF TEAM HOPE, OKIGWE LGA.
COMMUNIQUE ! COMMUNIQUE !!
Yesterday, Saturday 23rd May,2021 witnessed the SAFE DELIVERY of a formidable political creature and entity of general inclusivity, the “Team Hope Uzodimma”, Okigwe LGA.
This development, being a product of a technically informed meeting of select Okigwe Leaders, drawn from the 11 Wards and 22 Autonomous Communities representing 109 Voting Units in Okigwe LGA, held at Umualumoke Country home of the former Speaker,Imo State House of Assembly and President, Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Africa, Rt.Hon.Acho Ihim(Onwa Okigwe).
The meeting, which with tactful consciousness, was populated with elastic politicians of conviction, serving and former public office holders, unianimously resolved as follows :
1) To give strong effect and expand the support base of His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State, in Okigwe LGA.
2) To take necessary strategic steps to encourage and persuade Okigwe people of various economic, political, religious and social backgrounds to buy into the 3R Mantra of the Shared Prosperity Government of the present administration in Imo State.
3) To reach out and mobilize, as a matter of productive expediency, the preponderant majority of Okigwe citizenry and residents, into the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by our Dear Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
4) To fully and proactively participate in the coming APC Congresses at all levels, and uncompromisingly resist any effort or orchestration aimed at undermining the openness, freeness, fairness and credibility of the processes of harmonization or elections of party officials as directed by our Governor, the leader of the party in the state.
5) To observe mutual respect and give synergistic support to the elected and appointed office holders of Okigwe LGA extraction in the Government of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
6) To at all times and purposes pursue and advance for general good, the well being of Okigwe people wherever they may be.
The meeting commendably recorded an overwhelming turnout with the physical presence of these dignitaries among others:
