Insecurity: Hope Uzodinma’s aggrieved politicians theory holding no water

by Efizzy

Through several press releases, briefings, and even a live broadcast on Channels TV, Senator Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, have tried to pin the recent unrest in the state, on aggrieved politicians.

Uzodinma had even exonerated the Nnamdi Kanu led, Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB,and their regional security wing, the Eastern Security Network, ESN, of any involvements, in the recent attacks on security facilities in the state.

Uzodinma failed to mention the aggrieved politicians, even though he and his media handlers, indirectly fingered the former governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, in their accusations.

Interestingly, the recent arrest of Mr. Okafor, seems to have rubbished Uzodinma’s claims of aggrieved politicians, and even seem to be tilting towards an IPOB coloration, making Imolites confused over who to believe.

This is probably why politicians, should keep quiet over security issues, and allow the security agencies conclude their investigation, and come up with a verified prognosis, before the politicians can start facing the lens of cameras, to play their usual politics with security issues.

While we are yet to get the full details of the report on those behind the attacks, Uzodinma’s theory seems not to be holding much water at the moment.
