It’s been more than 24 hours, since operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, whisked former governor of Imo State, and Senator representing Orlu Zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha, away from his Unity House private office, to the Commission’s headquarters at Wuse 2, and he has yet to be released over 24 hours since his arrest.
Sources within the anti-corruption agency confirmed, that the former governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha passed the night at the Commission’s detention facility in Wuse 2, Abuja.
According to reports, he is still being interrogated by agents of the Commission, and there’s no indication as to when the interrogation will be over.
No clear reason have been given for his arrest, but an eariler release, stated that Okorocha was arrested, having refused to honour several invitations by the Commission, to shed light on petitions filed at the Commission over his eight years reign in Imo State.
