PDP: Why Senator Anyanwu Will Not Be Distracted

Since the Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja and presided by Justice Inyang Ekwo affirmed the position of Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu as the authentic National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, some mischief makers have adopted various strategies to distract him from his duties as the Chief Administrative head of the party or from recovering his stolen mandate in the last November 11 Governorship election in Imo state.

What these disgruntled elements are planning is to ensure that the National Scribe does not concentrate in his avowed desire to make the party formidable within his capacity. Since his re-affirmation by the court, some known self-styled political desperados who claim to be leaders of PDP but shamefully worked against the party in the last election have been capriciously restless and overwhelmed with goose pimples.

The most painfully part of the whole thing is that these same group of political miscreants plotted against the release of funds contributed for the prosecution of the Governorship election in Imo state simply because, Senator Anyanwu refused to resign from his constitutionally elected position as National Secretary.

To the chagrin or dismay of every Tom, Dick and Harry, the same people who blocked the release of the election logistic assistance to the PDP Governorship Candidate in the state turned over 360 degrees immediately after the election to peddle falsehood that all the funds released to him were hidden and was not disbursed. These people are indeed what good leaders should not be!

Regrettably, these disgruntled elements lack the requisite native sense otherwise, if they actually needed Senator Anyanwu to leave his office, they would have joined hands with other well-meaning Imo people and Nigerians of PDP extraction to ensure that his obviously won mandate was not stolen to speedily pave way for their emergence as National Scribe of the party replacing him.

Having failed in that evil plot to distract and destabilize him from remaining focused, the same individuals have currently become emergency letter writers, giving frivolous and fictitious reasons for their actions. What they refused to understand is that; β€œeven this plot of theirs will still fail and pass bye” like previous plots to embarrass him.

While politics is a serious business that is beyond one’s chosen career, it is ideal to remind those playing the game with bad intentions to have a rethink and ensure they involve themselves in developmental politics rather than β€œTigbuo Zogbuo”, meaning β€œdestructive” politics.

It is remarkable to note that these individuals desperately eyeing the seat of the National Secretary of PDP played little or no role during the previous elections to revive and resuscitate the party except, the adoption of different inhuman tactics to preserve their self centered and egotic interest.

However, as a man with the requisite knowledge, experience, capacity and political qualifications, Senator Anyanwu is busy liaison with his colleagues across the federation towards ensuring a hitch free National and State Assemblies bye elections already on the process.

The truth of the matter is that nothing that is done by a mere mortal can ever distract or destabilize Senator Anyanwu from being focused, dedicated and forthright as the PDP National Secretary. His major priority is to continue to deliver the good services for which Nigerians of PDP extraction elected him in 2021 at the Eagle Square, Abuja to execute.

A sincere advise to anyone struggling in vain to distract Senator Anyanwu is to rally round him as a genuine friend or partner in progress to be able to remain politically relevant, otherwise, the grace that is permanently upon that β€œSamuel” will explode to embarrass anyone working for his doom and gloom.

By so doing, we shall be expecting PDP of our collective dreams across the federation.
