For a long time, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Imo State has been alerting Imo people, Nigerians and the world that Senator Hope Uzodimma is deploying unorthodox weapons to wage war against opposition in Imo State.
Events and their attendant utterances by Uzodimma recently in the State has continued to vindicate Imo PDP and prove their account.
In responding to the world press conference hosted by Imo PDP on June 3, 2021, in which the Party catalogued and articulated the troubles with Imo State, and urged Uzodimma to do the needful and restore safety and security to lives and property in the State, Uzodimma’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy Hon. Declan Emelumba, inter alia, stated that their Uzodimma “would deal with the opposition, using known and unknown means”!
The undertones and undercurrent information in that weighty statement can be felt by even the dullest types of homo sapiens.
The next question, therefore, is in this time of “known” and “unknown” gunmen, what else besides planning to assassinate opposition leaders and operatives could be extrapolated from the uncanny, uncouth, and unconscionable utterance by that Uzodimma’s aide?
Anyhow, as the English say “to be forewarned is to be forearmed”. Uzodimma has forewarned. It’s left for Imolites in general, and the opposition in particular to be forearmed.
The subtle threat by Uzodimma, which his aide wrapped with the garment of jokes, was well-noted and interpreted as a real threat.
And Uzodimma can be assured that the grace of God and the actions of the law enforcement agencies, the opposition is very much forearmed fortified!
Hence, it’s very germane for the opposition at all its formations across the State to be advised and encourages not to be scared, worried, downcast, distracted or dissuaded by the empty threats by Uzodimma and his sycophantic aides and agents.
No doubt, the citizens and the law enforcement agencies heard the threat that was publicly tendered.
At least, with the information, any assassination of any opposition leader or opposition operative henceforth can be easily attributed to those who threatened to deal with opposition with known and unknown means. The world is watching!
