Whenever the word terrorism is mentioned in Nigeria, the minds of most Nigerians and interested members of the global society reflect Boko Haram terrorist group, which is said to be structurally domiciled in Sambisa Forest in Northeast geo-political zone of Nigeria.
Lately, however, the terrorists’ activities are said to have spread across the entire Northern region, including Northwest and North Central.
Surprisingly, according to Senator Hope Uzodimma, terrorism has crept into Imo State, in the wake of attacks by unknown gunmen, that he has described severally as militants, IPOB ESN and opposition elements.
The ultimate is Uzodimma’s resolute prodding for leaders of Imo PDP and leaders of the State to be invited by the DSS and prosecuted for sponsoring terrorism in Imo State.
Uzodimma’s love for the word terrorism has a sordid history in the State. He apparently loves toying with the word terrorism.
Consider for instance, when the Shared Poverty regime of Senator Hope Uzodimma was barely four and half months old, he ordered the arrest of one Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, whom he accused of offending the constitutional laws of cyber terrorism for exposing Uzodimma’s nefarious activities before and since after his fraudulently scheming his way into Douglas House on January 14, 2020.
On the whole, a total of seven count charges, all bothering on cyber crimes, were slammed on the said Nwaogwugwu by the Court when he was arraigned in a suit filed by the then, but later sacked, shamed and disgraced, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, COC Akaolisa, on behalf of Uzodimma!
And from all indications, to Uzodimma, Nwaogwugwu is a cyber criminal because his usual insulting tweets and short articles were based on the online social media. Talk about online insults, plus online cyber, equal to cyber crime!
As hinted earlier, in the recent days, Uzodimma has once again invoked the concept of “terrorism”. This time through a notorious fraudster hibernating in Douglas House under Uzodimma.
And what’s the cause of the ants in Uzodimma’s pants, this time around? He has been accusing Imo PDP and His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON the sixth democratically elected governor of Imo State, who was controversially removed by the Supreme Court and supplanted with Uzodimma, of keeping silent in the face of the insecurity unleashed upon Imo State and Imo people by Uzodimma! And to Uzodimma, that’s reason enough to be rated as sponsoring of terrorism!
When Nwaogwugwu wrote stinkers against Uzodimma I mid 2020, he was arrested, detained, arraigned, tried, remanded in Prison for 26 days by Uzodimma, for cyber crimes!
Now, ironically, when Imo PDP and Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha noiselessly condemned the ongoing insecurity in Imo State, and lampooned Uzodimma for inviting military into Imo to exacerbate a rather civil altercation, and thereafter chose to silently watch Uzodimma, the party and its leader have been recommended by Uzodimma for arrest and trial for sponsoring “terrorism”!
If not for the love of the word “terrorism”, why has Uzodimma moved from describing the criminals perpetrating the attacks as “militants” to describing them as “terrorists”?
It may be recalled that so far, Uzodimma has also migrated from accusing militants to accusing, IPOB, ESN, opposition, Rochas Okorocha, Uzodimma’s Commissioners, Imo PDP, and lately His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.
The question that should arise now is “if it’s all about sponsoring of “terrorism”, why has Uzodimma decided to particularize Ihedioha for arrest and prosection for sponsoring “terrorism”?
Well, it’s likely militants, IPOB, ESN, opposition, Rochas Okorocha, Uzodimma’s Commissioners, Imo PDP, will be listed and joined as co-defendants that must also be arrested and prosecuted for; sponsoring “terrorism”! Iberiberism in that line of thought and thinking has no Part 2!
Our interest in the whole new development is that it’s Uzodimma’s notorious Chief Propagandist that has again invoked this line of propaganda. They’ve decided to persevere in the folly of audio and media propaganda and blackmail, which had failed them times over in the past!
And as usual, the notorious fraudster has begun to again make a big tomfoolery of himself and Uzodimma with the insensitive and insensible, senseless suggestion that keeping silence during social crisis is enough reason to recommend people for invitation and prosection by the DSS for sponsoring “terrorism”!
It shouldn’t be business as usual. After all the media jives and rants, why can’t Uzodimma implement the recommendation of the notorious fraudster by actually commencing the legal processes of arresting citizens because they chose to keep silent on a raging matter in the society?
Of course, Uzodimma won’t and indeed can’t infringe on the people’s right of freedom to remain silent. And since that’s obviously impossible, why does Uzodimma conceive and contemplate such absurdity that’s strange to the laws of the land?
We’ll leave it at that on Uzodimma’s court for now, until he returns the serve or decides to chicken out as usual. That’s how Uzodimma has kept Imo State is at this time. Thanks for reading. The world is watching!
