A video have surfaced on the social media, showing a yoing man being flogged 100 strokes of the cane, by the youth leadership of the community, for assaulting an old woman in a horrific manner.
The young man who under interrogation, identified himself as Mmaduegbunam Kosisochukwu, from Uru-Ogidi, in Anambra State, in a viral video, was sighted beating up an old woman.
The old woman during the beating, called out for help from the king of the community, while some people watching on the side, urged the young man to stop beating the woman.
The reason for the beating was not revealed, even though the young man admitted that he messed up during interrogation, but from what the woman shouted when she was been beaten, it seemed the woman was a poor woman, and must have accused the young man of coming with a gun, which prompted him to descend on her.
The community youth leadership apprehended him, and after interrogating him, sentenced him to be flogged 100 strokes of the cane, after which, the community would decide what other punishment he would be given, or if he would be sent to a psychiatric home.
The young man who was tied to a tree, pleaded for mercy as he was receiving his punishment, which was meted out by the chairman of the community, promising never to do it again.
