…Miyetti Allah denies allegation, claims it has no such plans
The proscribed Nnamdi Kanu led Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) have raised alarm over what it termed as a plot by the Miyetti Allah, to deploy 5,000 jihadists in the Southeast.
IPOB alleges that Miyetti Allah area sending the jihadists, as a way of protecting their cattle and herdsmen, following the launching of Ebubeagu security outfit by Southeast governors.
IPOB stated that the threat was an insult to the people of the Southeast, stating it would not tolerate any such actions.
The allegation was made public, in a statement signed by the Media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Emma Powerful.
IPOB issued a stern warning to the jihadists insisting that they would have themselves to blame, if they stepped into the Southeast.
IPOB further stated, its security outfit, Eastern Security Network (ESN), would soon be in the Northern part of the country.
IPOB accused the Federal Government of sponsoring the Miyetti Allah group, warning the cattle rearers association not to dare the IPOB, warning that the Southeast cannot be penetrated by the jihadists.
IPOB further stated, that the Southeastern Governors were being intimidated, but the IPOB and ESN, would not be intimidated.
However the Miyetti Allah in the state, speaking through their leader, Alhaji Gidado Sidikki, denied the allegations, stating that they had no plans to attack the Southeast.
He stated that the constant attacks on his people were forcing them to flee for their safety.
